As a mom of two young boys, I spend significantly more of my time shopping for them. Whether it is clothing, toys, activities, books, etc., I feel like I constantly see things my kids could use or need.
After I polled our Facebook community, it sounds like many of you also are in the same spot & were going to be making most purchases for your kids as well!
I thought I’d share the items I either have ordered or am planning to order next!
Lately I’m all about the interactive games, creative activities, and outdoor toys for them!
Melissa & Doug Turtle Target Bean Bag Toss
My boys got this for Easter & it is their most played toy every single day since! It is so fun for them and for the family! It is definitely “child sized” so my husband and I have to crouch down to get on the proper level, but it is perfect for kids! It comes with 4 small velcro beanbags and the target itself is fully velcro so they stick wherever they’re thrown. It is surprisingly strong even when my kids throw lightly, the beanbags stick very well!
Toy Story 4 Sticker Activity Kit
I just ordered this for Beckett for our upcoming road trip we’re taking just before Toy Story 4 comes out! He is super into Toy Story right now & the only things he has asked for his birthday next month are Toy Story toys so far, so I think this will be a big hit with 4 play scenes & 8 pages full of Toy Story 4 stickers!
Speaking of our upcoming trips, these are some tried & true products we’ve used on previous trips! I prefer the sticker pads for car trips because they are pretty big and for plane seats, they’re just too big in my opinion, but they work perfectly in the car! I recommend bringing an extra baggy to put the stickers in if your child isn’t great at putting them back on the sticker sheet (mine!) – the “reusable stickers” in this set are really just like window clings, but they do stick very well to all of the scene pages!
The Water Wow! books are a huge hit. We own 6 different themed books and I just love them! I recommend getting a multi-pack or buying more than one because the only downfall is my son can get through the pages pretty quickly and then he has to wait for them to dry before he can go back to drawing more! These come with a tiny re-fillable “water brush” – you fill the vessel of it with a little water and the water slowly comes out of the top brush part! We don’t deal with any excess water coming out or anything, and there is no mess!
We love our water table! We have a Step 2 table, but we’ve had it for 5 years and I can’t find the exact one we have now, but ours was the same price as this one and has overall the same features. A water table is a great, fun option for hours of outdoor, creative play!
Green Toys Vehicles
I love these toys for my boys! When I worked at the natural baby store in South Carolina, we sold a ton of these and I got hooked. They’re always on sale for a great deal on Amazon. My boys have & love several of these. We use them both in & outside and they’re so durable with minimal wear despite the near constant use & play! These are made from environmentally friendly materials, BPA free, and come in environmentally friendly packaging.
These are just a few of our favorite things! What are your kids loving these days?
