Style Session: 3 Ways to Rock Chambray + Other Button Down Tops

I love a good chambray top to pair over…basically everything. I just have a thing for layers in general. If you’re in my boutique group, you’ve caught onto that. I’m a cardigan queen and an overall layer lover.

For my chambray & denim-ish button downs & layers, they’re a staple wardrobe piece. I’m going to talk about how I rock these without just wearing them buttoned up on their own.

These tops are a neutral in my wardrobe. I pair them with any color or print. I wear them with any bottoms – even my denim, and I often don’t even match the washes of my chambray top and my denim bottoms! They can be dressed up or dressed down! I wear them in the winter & in the summer. They’re lightweight enough to be rocked both ways, and the sleeves look cute as is or rolled up!

As for other button downs, we all probably have a plaid or flannel top in our wardrobe that we might wear on its own, but they work SO well as layers, you guys! I personally love to wear them cardigan style over tops. I really¬†love neutral plaids over other prints! To me, a neutral plaid is the same as just a standard neutral! Wear it over whatever you want & make it work! I appreciate & respect style “rules” that are put into place, but part of what I enjoy about fashion & what makes my style unique is bending those rules a little bit. ūüėČ
Rock your plaid the same way you’d rock a chambray!
